Big 2 is a game originating from the Chinese territories ( specially in Guangzhou , Malaysia , Singapore , Hong Kong , Macau and Taiwan ) it used poker cards to gamble as a game.
It is widely played in places where there’s large numbers of Chinese population, it is popular to people of all ages . Every game has 4 players , each has 13 cards, whoever finished their cards wins . Below are 4 techniques to win.
1. If you don’t know who’s the Patsy, then you are the Patsy
Warren Buffett has a saying “If you have been in a poker game for a while, and you still don’t know who the patsy is, you’re the patsy.”
Thus , the first tip to win is to find the Patsy and prevent from being the Patsy.
2. Cutting of other player’s card to prevent from being penalized
On a normal card game, the cards are equally distributed. But on certain occasion, one player had much better cards, which is crucial to winning. If other two players were being cut or blocked, but you were spares, you have a chance of winning too. Usually the good cards comes in two sets of five cards which are big in value, in the forms of Jack full house, pair of twos, or three of a kind.
How do we match up ?
If you’re the first to start, you cards could have straight or flush, in this case you should choose the latter, as it would have a high chance to block the next players or at least one of the players in sequence.
3. When should you release the spade of two card ?
If you have spade of two or the biggest card, but you have lots of irregular cards, when should you release your biggest card ?
If you have five cards on hand, while others have 10+ cards, you could release the big card, followed by the rest of Five. You are betting on a chance to over power other big cards from players. In another case, if the other players had only 1, 2, 3 or 5 cards, you should release your big two card, else you will be the biggest loser in the game.
4. Practice make perfect
Like other skills, practice is the key to success. To master the game of big two, there are two big skills. First one being memory, to remember other player’s card, who released the spade of ace, two and king, secondly is speed reading, to check if cards can be combined to straight, flush and so on. These could be improved by playing mobile games.
